In this episode, #GoodKarmaAirlines brings Pilot Rob from the Nashville area with us on a 1200-mile trip as a volunteer mission for Angel Flight Soars. The day consisted of just over five hours of flying in my SF50 Vision Jet. We departed Smyrna, TN mid-morning and met Patient Quinda at the Atlantic Aviation FBO at KDTS Destin Executive Airport in Florida.
Pilot Don and Co-pilot Rob flew Quinda to Cecil Spaceport Airport in Jacksonville, FL and stopped at the Jacksonville JetPort FBO. Patient Quinda was scheduled to receive treatment for Cancer in Jacksonville.
We then flew the Vision Jet back to its home base in Smyrna, TN to end the day.

Each of the three takeoffs and landings were recorded with two cameras for your viewing pleasure.
In case you were not aware, I am a volunteer, philanthropic pilot for four patient and veteran pilot groups, including Angel Flight Soars. These organizations rely on donations to operate as well as the kindness and generosity of thousands of volunteer pilot and airlines across the country.
Angel Flight Soars is a volunteer pilot organization serving those who reside in, are traveling to or through various southern states. They work cooperatively with other volunteer organizations throughout the country.
Angel Flight Soars missions include: routine treatment flights, compassionate care, and other medical related flights as referred to us by health care providers. The Angel Flight Soars’ philosophy is that the cost of travel should never stand in the way of people receiving medical care.
Since incorporating in 1984, they have increased volunteers to over 1,300 pilots and non-pilots (earth angels).
Angel Flight Soars has really taken off and in 2021, we coordinated 3,680 missions, serving patients from 34 different states and more than 250 different medical facilities. That's 10 flights per day, 7 days a week! Despite these great works Angel Flight Soars and other volunteer pilot organizations can use your generosity, time, talents, and aircrafts to serve the increasing number of missions.
