This is a wonderful video. I was looking for a more neat way to do a horizontal button hole. This is brilliant. I’ve seen a few different videos and their instructions didn’t work when I did it. I am so grateful for your button band and hole tutorials! The four-stitch bound off hole is perfect for my mother-in-law’s Aran cardigan. Her arthritis and vision problems had kept her from finishing an almost completed long cabled cardigan (so much meticulously done work!). I could not stand to let her toss it out, even though I am an advanced beginner but have never knitted a cardigan before, AND she had misplaced the pattern. So I read and mirrored her work to finish the left front, sewed all five pieces together, but then was stumped…until I found your tutorials. Hallelujah 😊 thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ve been making socks where if you are toe up, you want a very stretchy bind off. Certainly good for socks but not too stretchy for a button band. When I first learned to knit, I just had one cast on and one cast off. I don’t want to count the numbers I’ve learned since YouTube, but it has really improved my knitting.
