Thanks for this. It was much needed. I opened in August I have 183 listing up and 7 sales with 5, 5 star reviews. But only one organic sale. I was feeling a bit down because I haven't seen anything for a little over 2 weeks and my views have dropped significantly. But I will not quit. I need this to work for my family. Videos like this really help. I am going to keep posting and keep learning. 😊

I'm hanging in there with this project. There's been ups and downs but videos like this help remind me to continue being patient. For everyone out there, I believe it'll tip at one point into your favor if you stay consistent and motivated and continue to learn and evolve. Thanks for the video Christina!

Thanks for this, I am still not sure if it is something I want to pursue but I really feel that your videos are well made, like you don’t waste people’s time with attempts at humor or talk about your day for 2 minutes and ask people to like and subscribe. You get right to the point. I really like your USPTO video also, it’s something that none of these other similar POD channels cover.

So true. 🙌🏼 I started toward late March and made about $200 in the first month. 6 months later, I’m a little over $4, 000 revenue per month. It fluctuates but it also steadily goes up and I’m definitely a little better at design/placement/picking mocks than I was in March 😅 I’m still always surprised by what sells most though. It’s rarely the one I love or am most proud of. I’m hoping I can really make this a full time income for my family someday but I think (besides having a lot of items, great designs and mocks) the key is just not giving up, especially early on.

Started in August, 345 store views, 0 sales, 69 listings, and still putting 1-2 listing out every weekday.

This was so encouraging! I started my shop in August and my first design has actually sold the most for me (still only 14 sales so far) so I think that’s funny how that worked out but I’m just gonna run with it and not give up!

Very true graph. I was forced to start my own design company 10 years ago and it literally takes 1-3 years to be successful. I didn't believe it but it's true. I had to start a new design job a few weeks ago and hopefully I'll revisit my Etsy plan soon.

BTW your audio is getting a LOT better. 👏

Thank you so much for this video. I'm always watching other videos and they talk about how you should get tons of sales within the first couple of months. I didn't get a sale until my 3rd month. Looking back I can see how many mistakes I made but I've improved and I have made 300 sales so far in 8 months. It's still hard since I'm waiting for the 4th quarter to hit me but no significant increase so far. I'll keep learning and try my best to be patient.

Hey Christina, glad to be part of your growing community. I started my Etsy store in October rushing to get it as completed as possible for the holiday season. After 2 months with $15/day ads I have 100+ products and 54 sales. Definitely struggling to be patient while waiting for the ad conversions to move more toward organic conversions. After 2 months (and Christmas) I revised my tags for better SEO but worried that I’m starting over every time I do that. At what point do I stop tweaking the SEO and let the algorithm work and scale?

Thank you! Very curious how many different niches you had to try before you started finding success?! I have a few designs that that started selling for a Halloween sub-niche, but now those sales are pretty much done. After this video I’m now feeling motivated to try that sub-niche for Thanksgiving and Christmas and some evergreen ones too!

Is it smart to be active on Pinterest and social media? Another Etsy guru said that social media is bad for your store and that sales that were driven from social media don’t help the listing score and that it hurts it. I never know what to think 😅 how else do you get traffic?

Alura, erank or marmalade? Which one do you recommend and do you use them yourself? Thanks for all your content! ❤

I sold a shirt and they take the money out of my bank that I don’t have. I started in November and 191 sales, mostly digital and it was Christmas themed. Not much profit because I advertised. I have patience but can’t afford to have them take the money out. Why don’t they just hold it like eBay and take it out. Any suggestions? Thanks
Also how do I list multiple style items in one listing with the same design. Such as Sweatshirts, T-shirts, Tank Tops, Youth & Toddler
Thanks

Thank you so much for this encouraging Video. Makes my (hopefully temporary) stay at the Valley Of Disappointment a bit more hopefull ;-) Could you please share how you size your designs on Printify? I'm always afraid that if someone might actually by my shirts and sweatshirts they would get one with a print that's too small or too large. I've watched so many tutorials, some people say they size the design at 12", others make it 13-14 inches wide, and others just eyeball it... How do you go about it? Thanks.

Thank you for this motivational video. I opened my shop in July 2021, and it has been almost 15 months since then. I have active 357 listings and 285 inactive listings. I got only 63 sales and 22 five stars reviews. The numbers are very low for a 15-month-old shop. I did everything that Esty seller's book said, I am putting all my effort and time to grow my shop. I am learning every day, and I am listing 2-3 lists every day regularly. But there is no sale, even 10-15 views. This is very disappointing and discouraging. If I can't do any sales in Q4, I will quit Etsy. Any suggestion?

Hey Christina!

I have a question regarding how to order titles and tags. If I am putting up a listing in a new, low-competition niche, would I want my first title phrase to be the more general niche search term (which has high search volume) or the low competition term.

For example, if I am making a PICU Nurse Shirt, would my title be
“PICU Nurse Shirt, Nurse Shirt, etc…”
Or “Nurse Shirt, PICU Nurse Shirt”

Does it matter? 🤯 Thank you!!
