You choose the wrong one between Midori & Miyako. The one in the M& M duet close to KANAMI is MIYAKO. both of them are Shy person, they are guitarist, pianist, melody writer, KANAMI & MIYAKO are the brain behind they're Band today. Midori is a incredible guitarist . MIKU & MIDORI are the Show off one on their band.

For me, it's Midori over both Miyako and Kanami, if only barely. That comes down to personal preferences, as I prefer technical playing and a classical background (on guitar) to blues and similar styles. Again, just a matter of preference. Overall, my top five are #1 Midori, #2 Hazuki, #3 Kanami, #4 Miyako, #5 Matsuri from Hanabie (she doesn't play leads very often, but she can shred when she wants to, and some of the wizardry she displays with her underlying riff patterns are comparable to a lot of the complex things Kanami does outside of her solos and are on par with some of the complexity you normally only hear in solos). No disrespect to Lisa-X or Saki, but I've just not listened to very much of the former and have never been a big fan of the latter.

For me Kanami is the best guitar player not only in Japan, but in the whole world!!! She is my guitar Queen!!!

I think Midori has better technique and great legs 😆 but she’s not even in my top ten… these are my top ten favorite Japanese female guitarists:

Midori and Miyako are great, both have tremendous technique and speed... but Kanami is a genius who understands music in a different way... although she is not my top favorite, for her merits I objectively consider her the best Japanese female rock guitarist today.😲

Kanami is never a shredder most of her playing is more melodic, which I like and she's song writer first. That's how I see her or maybe I'm wrong.

I don't know Midori, but Kanami is more than a guitar queen. She is a talented composer of complex and tasty riffs. She gets everyone in the band their time in the limelight, weaving their individual musical talents into a mega awesome spectacular song.
