► The view of Crummock Water from the rolling hills of Brackenthwaite Hows in the Lake District is the picture-perfect landscape, immortalised in art.

It inspired a famous watercolour painting by J.M.W. Turner and now the National Trust has bought the site, after local landowners decided it was time everyone got to enjoy the spectacular view.
