Do you have to put foam board on the inside of the window frame first? I'm don't have enough clearance for my window frame.

I understand the Kerdi fix in the inside against the window, but why the outside? The thinset should hold it in place just fine. Seems like extra work for no added benefit. I will have to try it and see if it helps. At least you care enough to waterproof a window properly. Always nice to see.

Kerdi products are unnecessarily expensive, they dont even sell well. Why give them so attention. Selling foam board for $130. Kerdi is definitely not worth the price.
