The first two people are the reason for MY not-so-controversial opinion:
People should get mental health screenings before becoming parents.

Also, I once saw this TikTok compilation about people's hot-takes on parenting. One girl said "If you aren't able to love and care for a child born with a disability, then you shouldn't become a parent". I had never thought about it, but I totally agree.

A parent should be a child's source of unconditional love, no matter the child's mental or physical abilities.

Controversial opinion: segregation still exists socially. It may not be legal, but it still exists. You see it all the time in college, large communities, schools, economic backgrounds, etc. You can deny it all you want, subconscious biases are a thing we all have. Once I became aware of it, it is everywhere

Just because you’re lonely that doesn’t mean you should get a pet. Pets can’t bring you the fulfillment you think they will. Pets are a responsibility that far too many treat like a stuffed toy or a accessory. The only fulfilling thing in having a pet is taking care of them. Not everyone should get pets because they don’t think about the pet they think about themselves only.

mine is that you should have to do a mini driving test every 10 or so years in order to keep your licence, and that you should have to retake the full thing at 70/some old age so you don’t have senile old people going 5mph on the road. the reason for this is that driving rules and road safety is constantly changing and updating, and the test my dad took 45 years ago is not the one i would have to take today. also people get arrogant when they’ve driven for a while and think that the way they do things is the only way. and as a tiny aside, road rage should be taken more seriously, being in a car with a screaming angry driver is scary as fuck
