Motocross Action just took delivery of the new 2025 Honda CRF450 Works Edition. This bike retails for $12,599, which is a $2900 upcharge from the stock 2025 Honda CRF450. It comes off the assembly line with a Yoshimura RS-12 exhaust system with a stainless steel header and titanium muffler. It also has hand-polished porting in the head, custom-tailored ECU settings, a Hinson clutch basket and a Hinson clutch cover. On the suspension side of things, it has Showa spring forks with Kashima-coated outer fork tubes and titanium oxide-coated fork legs with black anodized fork lugs and triple clamps. The shock features a titanium oxide-coated 18mm shock shaft (the stock model has a 16mm shaft). Of course, like CRF450WE models in the past, it comes stock with a Twin Air filter, Throttle Jockey Team Honda HRC graphics and seat cover, a matte red metallic cylinder-head cover, D.I.D gold chain and DirtStar LT-X rims, Renthal kevlar grips and Dunlop's MX33 tires.

Too many people are concerned about HP numbers vs the base model. The mods on the 450RWE were to create a broader and more usable engine, not necessarily to add bigger HP numbers. End result, an easier and more fun bike to ride.

Riding a 2014 Honda CRF450R and I absolutely love it. One day I'll get a new one.

One point every test group doesn't mention is that the upgrades can be financed with the purchase of the bike. Suspension Coatings, shock shaft, exhaust, rims, ECU, billet clutch basket, seat cover. That's $4k in value with a $1k discount, financed with the bike.

Honda's destination charge is $600. so, the actual price might be more depending on who you buy yours from. I bought two of them for $25, 500 OTD. sales tax was $1500 of that. no set-up/PDI fee.

and just to comment on the video, no one "needs" a-kit, but that doesn't mean it cant help you as a rider. Plushness is a virtue. the more comfy the fork is and the more bottoming resistance you have, the more confidence you will have to push that extra bit harder off the big jumps or through the rough stuff. this applies to most speed and skill levels, essentially.

I cut all the ribbing off these grips with a sharp razor blade. Makes them thinner, and I like them now.

Vet intermediates, experts, and pros don't buy A kits for bling sir. We buy it because when set up properly it's safer and allows you to go faster than we otherwise could. That officially qualifies as the most ridiculous comment I've ever heard from MXA in over thirty years.

I'm struggling to understand what going from 16 to 18mm diameter rear shock shaft does for bike performance other than make it a stronger component. It can only be correcting a weakness...(and possibly adding weight)
