How To Use The GROUPBY Function In Power BI - DAX Function Review

In this tutorial, we will run through how to use the GROUPBY function in Power BI.

This is a similar table function to the likes of SUMMARIZE and SUMMARIZECOLUMNS, but it has some unique nuances to it that are interesting and worth diving into more deeply.

Thank you Sir. Great YouTube. With this lecture I have got a good experience in power bi. I have a quick question, Can I add Sales Last Year in this groupby function? I have added [ calculate(sumx(currentgroup(), sales[value]), dateadd( date[date], -1, year)), but I cannot get any return. I did the same thing with summarize function. I cannot get any value either. Can you help?

Hi Sam, there are others that explain DAX functions (e.g., groupby) on YouTube, but none do it as well as you. I hope you would consider do many of these kinds of videos that just focus on one DAX function or one type of DAX function.
