Wish resellers knew this. Looking at 30% off top price, at most 😂

That's resale value. If you keep it for 20 years it doesn't matter nearly as much.

Nobody sells their 1 day old car for 10k less, so that's a meaningless argument to not buy new.

70%....
Still waiting for that 2018 TRX to go under 70k purchase price 90k

I want to believe everything you're saying but the prices of the used car market do not reflect the words coming out of your mouth

That blump blump is the profit margin of the dealer. The usefullness of that car has not changed one bit.

BUY A NEW TOYOTA AND HOLD FOR 15-20 YEARS.

NO, you lost the $10k when you signed your name.

70% is untrue, no matter what you buy.

Paid 26k for mine and can sell it for 22k without trying. It's a 2020 Honda Civic Si Coupe.

The worst investment if you buy that only to look rich... even worse is to buy new vehicle on leverage.

On the other hand, after 4 years, I know how that car's been treated since it was driven off the lot.

It’s irrelevant if you keep the car for its lifespan. This only matters if you plan to resell it. A new car has an incredible value with the manufacturer warranty, and most importantly, you know its entire history. So sick of hearing this nonsense.

Not Toyota. A new XLE cost $47k, a 4 year old one cost $32k. Only a 30% loss.

Not even close. 4 year old cars maybe depreciate 25% at best. The car market isn't the same as it was in 1985.

My car is 2 years old and has only lost 20% of its value since purchasing it new.

Post-pandemic used car prices have entered the chat …

A bell just went off in my head. Im looking for 5 year old cars now

Im yet to know of any car that depreciates 70% in 4 years... maybe 30%? 70% depreciation is more like 10 years

Lost 70%? I wonder where can you buy a car for 70% off price.
