It has been so long since forever the last time I touch some proper algebra. Your thumbnail just kicked some of those forgotten memories of mine when I do math homeworks. :)

Thanks for this. The trial-and-error approach is good for those with solid number sense -- and it also prevents you from having to work with large numbers (like you may have to when you multiply AC). When I can see the numbers are going to be manageable, though, I prefer doing a version of the AC method.

This is not a proof. You've proofed A implies B, but you also need to proof B implies A
