INSANE REVS!!! National Express West Midlands ADL Trident 2/ALX400 4633/BX54XSA - Route 97

Recorded date - 25/5/2021
National Express West Midlands 4633/BX54XSA
Depot: Birmingham Central
ADL Trident 2/Alexander Dennis ALX400
Route 97 Birmingham, Moor Street - Birmingham Business Park

Since 2001 National Express West Midlands have operated a few hundred ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents with various batches being bought between then and late 2004, as time goes on however new buses are being ordered in the quest for lower emissions in cities like Birmingham and Coventry therefore buses like this are starting to become endangered with plenty of these solid machines already withdrawn and more to follow. On a visit to the area mid last year I decided to go on a few on the 97 route and one of the ones I did was 4633/BX54XSA, this example has been re-engined with a newer Cummins engine like the ones in the 57 reg Enviro 400s but thankfully it didn't make it any less of a monster, as evident in the video this is one absolutely ferocious bus with some insane revs on various occasions.

Fantastic, I never had a run like this out of this one. Since withdrawn along with sister 4634 which was also re-engined, 4586 and 4619 are the two that remain with newer engines if you’re interested
