It's very surrealist to see something like this burning rubber better than some V8 powered cars

How quicker can it be with performances tyres instead of low resistance tyres?

0 - 100 in 6.86 seconds for a granny car like this! When I was a teenager Peter Brock tuned V8 commodores were making those numbers

That is terrifyingly fast for a EV CSUV

This was recorded in dry conditions.  Imagine the sort of wheel spin in wet conditions with traction control off - worse, loss of power with traction control on.Definitely wait for an AWD version or another OEM in the coming couple of years.

Even more impressive than the very nice acceleration is the instant throttle response! No lag whatsoever. This must feel very quick in real life.

I am definitely getting this over model 3. More range and more car for the money

When the wheels loose grip at lunch do you get the same axle hop like in a petrol car?

Interesting - that car doesn't have the 4 coolant control valves that are at the left-hand side of the engine compartment in the UK version

You can brake a lot faster than that if you stack the regenerative braking and peddle braking. Pull the left paddle to start the aggressive motor braking, and then hit the foot brakes (in that order), both will engage and the car will decelerate very quickly and under control. It's like downshift braking in a manual, except you don't get the lurching and need for rev-matching since the car only has 1 gear.

I really wish they’d made it rwd or at least offer an AWD version with about 250-300HP

Rear sofa for passengers without legs?

Hyundai did a good job with the Kona EV. We get and AWD version in Canada.

I timed 7.02 seconds with traction control on, not 6.86.

Hi there. Could you please do a video on the Hyundai i30 N-line DCT. Would really like to see the 0-100 and the exhaust note.
Cheers and keep up with the great videos!!
