you can fm some complex wavetables to make them heavier, or just go full hardcore and watch SeamlessR, he uses FM almost like he was the one to invent it

the way i understand fm, is you're pulling up frequencies from B into the A wave form or vise versa,
because you can't here certain tones normally bringing them up into hearing range at a % rate of volume and frequency. You tend to notice the higher % you go the more inaudible the tone gets.
when people fm complicated wavetables its much harder because youre basically looking for the % where the tones line up from one wavetable to another, as sinewaves hit all of them its always going to sound nice,
using square for example skips every 2nd one making it harder to find a nice spot where the volume cuts out the off frequencies but brings out the ones youre looking for.
saws can sometimes work because of the freqencies but ideally youre looking for a needle in a haystack.
its better to find/make good wavetables and use sinewaves than it is to fm something with a saw or a crazy wavetable.
ideally if you want something to be fmed because you want something strong just use resynthesis and keep creating new wavetables and dropping them in and fming again.

great video, can you help me with FM on Spire?

Hi Zen, I know you probably know this but I'm just pointing out that people generally use a sine wave for a bend +/- effect. But sometimes a triangle wave helps for a cleaner PWM sort of deal.

Really like the video, keep up the good work man
