Personally 1989 Keaton Hot Toys 1.0 is DEFINITELY KEATON'S SPOT ON LOOK!!!! Just remember Keaton himself had mentioned that the articulation of his suit was constrictive! So I'm HAPPY AND STILL SATISFIED with my Hot Toys DX-09.

The new version doesn't even look like Keaton under the mask. Seems like they just modernized the old costume and gave him a better body.

I'm much happier with my DX09 and third party cape. This is a stylized version---like an 89 Batman drawn for a comic book.

The original figure definitely captured that slightly oversized cowl look perfectly.

I did notice they pushed my order back a month. Does that mean theyre fixing it or iust their random billing cycle?

I have this on preorder. This thing is wildly inaccurate the more I look at the reviews of it. Only two face plates look okay, but the lips are too low from the nose, and the one with Napoleon Dynamite teeth looks awful. Body suit texture is totally wrong. He had a smoother texture in the movie (I should know, I paused the movie last night and saw the bodysuit was smooth). Belt color is wrong, supposed to be sorta mustard-y gold colored belt. It should have two options for capes, one wired, and one without so it drapes straight down nicely. I do admit the cowl/mask looks fantastic. Still on the fence if I should cancel it.

I forgot to add...don't worry about the belt and emblem being too yellowish. It's actually more screen accurate than the 1.0 gold colored belt despite our memory suggesting to us otherwise. Part of it is also that the gold just looks so good but yeah, it wasn't that color in the movie.

I've seen a couple videos now that compared the 2.0 to the 1.0. It looks like the cowl sculpt is much approved over the 1.0 and it has the correct texture. The same of course can't be said for the suit. I don't know what they were thinking there. The screen used suit was not that rough. I wish they would've replicated the Lycra under suit with rubber padding instead of a full rubber suit. Not only would it be more accurate, but it would help with pose ability. The sculpt on the 2.0 face plates doesn't look as good as the 1.0 although the paint app on them looks improved. As to which figure has the better overall Keaton look? At some angles it's the 1.0 and at others it's the 2.0.

Overall, I think I'd take the 2.0 despite its flaws.

there artisan comeback was announced after this batman. I expect with there prices rising like inart 500 a figure I would like always now a diorama display and magnet pegs on joints.

Major fail. DX09 was good but not perfect. This figure is big step backwards in likeness and accuracy. I struggle to understand how this happened. How did this figure go so wrong?

Other than the mouth & eyes which look nothing like Keaton. The cowl is completely wrong. This is an EPIC FAIL.

same shit, a thick rubber suit, with no movement. For example The BVS batman was good, that they can't do something like that with the 89 batman
