Health experts are expressing concern over the surging number of new coronavirus cases across the U.S. Some beaches and restaurants are expected to be crowded over the Fourth of July weekend despite restrictions in several states. Dr. Bob Lahita, a professor of medicine at New York Medical College, joined CBSN to discuss how to be safe over the holiday weekend.

What I find interesting is that many states economies reopened end of April and the start of May and the amount of cases and deaths continued to go down for about 4-5 weeks until the protests kicked off at the start of June, then magically two weeks later there is a surge of cases from there on out to today, but apparently the protest have nothing to do with that, right?? I think what's going on is pretty simple to figure out!

If you are going to a food based event, eat some onions, they have zinc and quercitin (known to slow virus replication), eat some bacon, it has selenium (known to slow virus replication), eat foods with vitamin c (known to ease inflammation that comes with infection), get some sun to increase your vitamin d (known to lessen likelyhood of death when infected)... The list goes on... I wonder why this doctor didn't mention anything about food at a food event.

It shouldn't take eight minutes and fifty seconds to say "STAY HOME". That's all you needed to say, really.

In Wisconsin, many died from quarantine abolition? No one has died. Everyone survived!

Always remember! Gathering with family and friends is dangerous. Protesting by the thousands? Perfectly okay...

Stay home, stay safe. We’re headed for another lockdown and will only delay our future recovery.

It’s only because they are FINALLY doing MUCH MORE random TESTING (like they SHOULD have been doing all along!) across the boards, not just “those sick enough to seek emergency medical help at emergency hospital wards!”

Bill Nye's step brother is right. We're a little safer outside instead of in an enclosed room so everyone should enjoy their 4th happily but also carefully
