THE FIRST TAKE is a YouTube Channel dedicated to filming musicians and singers performing in a single take.

Episode 449 welcomes SB19, a five-member boy band from the Philippines, to make its first appearance on THE FIRST TAKE.
SB19 is the very first Southeast Asian artist to be nominated as Top Social Artist at the 2021 U.S. Billboard Music Awards, and they will be performing their song “GENTO,” which became a hit on TikTok for its addictive phrase and unique dance moves.
Enjoy the song, which expresses the message that “it is the accumulation of small efforts that leads to success,” in a special one-shot version exclusively for THE FIRST TAKE.

In case you don't know them. They are the PPOP KINGS, They paved the way for all the PPOP groups in the PHILIPPINES.

This version is a stripped down from the original.. technical backtracks are almost excluded.. that is why the guy with the deepest voice really stepped up and been singing almost the entire time.. His bass serves as the back track and his voice vibrates !! (try to listen with a speaker or airpod) .And the adlibs of the one with the long hair and at the middle are also playing to keep the momentum. The one in the utmost right i think has the highest range in the group.. you can clearly hear him and the 2nd one from the left. the one beside the deep voice guy has the sweetest voice and i think he also does baritone in some parts. Overall I can say that this group is totally a revelation. Ill be checking out their other songs.

I'm totally new to them and I heard people call them Kpop wannabes. Sorry, but I don't think you can compare them to average Kpop singers. Their voices are on another level. I just watched Ken's solo and he sounds like 5 different persons in one song. This group is mind-blowing.

I think the advantages of being so used to singing live is that they know how to modulate and project their voices into the mic however they want to. And also being so used to it they now know how to play with vocal techniques giving textures to their vocals 👏👏👏 let's normalize live singing!
