I often hide the Badminton shuttle when the other is about to win. I just put hide it in my bag and leave.

Rule 1 AND Rule 6 together doesn’t make sense to me. Either it is 1.15 or below the waist.
1.15 already prevents from downward swing since the net is at 155/154. Bringing back the waist rule defeats the purpose of rule 1, sine very small players whose waist is below 1.15 would have to sever lower.

Question, one forward fluid motion or one fuild stroke. I see alot of players wind back, hold for a second then push forward which is insanely annoying.
I'm a fast server/swinger so if I start doing that it'll probably be classed as cheating ha.

Several people where I play are serving by hitting the bird while firmly holding it in order to cause the shuttle to wobble and be difficult to return.

ChatGPT says “You must release the shuttle before hitting it with your racket during a serve. While the rules do not explicitly state you must release the shuttlecock before hitting it, Badminton World Federation Rule 9.1.2 states the server's racket must hit the base of the shuttle so releasing the shuttle before striking ensures this rule is followed and BWF Rule 9.1.7 continuous forward motion requirement implies the shuttlecock should be released to permit striking in one fluid motion without pause. The consensus among players and coaches is the shuttle should be in motion to ensure a fair serve.”

Who is right? Thanks.

Re: Stationary Position: If I call a "fault" people will argue. A lot of players have at least one foot partially off the floor when receiving. This includes the receiver's partner. I have seen people stand on their "tippy toes" to serve.

Can we slice the shuttle while serve? Is it legal?

Because my friend always frustate if i serve by slicing, cuz the shuttle spin back and fort, so when he try to hit it, he hit the feather not the cock

What if the shuttle falls on the first line after the serve? Is it in or out? Is that a legal serve or the serve need to be inside the box and should not touch the line? Please clarify

Hi I have a question if you could help, please.
Can you look away while you are serving? I see some people do it, and the receiver can’t figure out if the server is ready or not because they were looking away while serving. I can’t seem to find this information anywhere else. Thanks!
