I really needed to hear this. I just came off of a couple days trying to count calories and ended up in a massive binge instead.

Okay Hannah. The goals of cico and intuitive eating are different. One is to either lose weight, maintain weight, or gain weight (fat loss/maintenance, muscle building). Intuitive eating has a goal of eating for happiness; this is a bad idea for people with disordered eating for obvious reasons.

Guilt is a signal by your brain, for your brain, that you're doing something unusual, typically to your detriment.

As for respecting hunger and fullness. You don't have to eat to being full, you don't have to eat every time you're hungry.

Intuitive eating by someone who has very little knowledge of nutrition is a horrible plan.
