Thank you for your videos & info & help/advice. I never used a controller but after seeing your vids & the fact that I wanna get back into it, I think I'll buy the sb3 . It's a bit nerve wrecking because I've only used cds, records back in the day..but I do have a laptop, a used old apple that the person put 8gigs in it so it can hold lots of music. I just need to learn all the digital music thing. But I think with practice, and your help of course, I can get back into the groove. Thank you so much. You seem to be real Kool too👍

These smaller controllers are awesome for practicing on! 2 Technics and a Pioneer S11 is my usual and when I use this it FORCES you focus, I use it with Serato Lite which keeps you at 8 bar loops as a max, limited effects, no rotating indicator for record position and a few other things are not available meaning again, you have to focus and actually get creative instead of relying on the magic the higher end gear has. I end up mixing better when I do get back on the bigger equipment!

Denon and Numark and Rane came out with killer DJ hardware. Pioneer answered back with a silver DDJ SB2 and a gold trim DDJ 400. I feel Pioneer are not keeping an eye on the ball.

Do you recommend using the usb-b to usb-c WITH dual ferrite core choke for noise reduction or maybe not necessary? Occasionally I’ve been getting static build-up in my headphones after using my new Panasonic DDJ-SB3. When that happens, I have to disconnect my usb-b from my new M1 MacBook Pro and immediately plug it back in then it goes away- but static returns every half hour approx. I’ve been using a usb-b to usb-a with the usb-a female to usb-c male adapter piece this whole time. Now I’m about to buy a new usb-b to usb-c code so I can eliminate the adapter and make a direct connection . For an extra $10 I can get the cod with dual ferrite core choke they advertise will reduce or eliminate excesses noise. I was curious if you recommend that or maybe not necessary?
