I clean my pads once a month, and I love to see them white

I've got a pair of Spencer Martin's 2S Pro pads from his Avalanche days and even with me being the 3rd owner (minimum) of these pads, they look like they're barely a few months old. Clean and tidy look.

i have a question. how can i make my pads sit higher on my skate. i use skate laces and don’t use a boot strap, if i were to use a boot strap it would be the stock option (not sure what it’s called) but not able to use lundy loop.
