Explaining Wave Superposition with DESMOS, an online graphing calculator

preview_player
Показать описание
Superposition , or the adding of waves, can be demonstrated and explained by using Desmos a powerful online graphing calculator.
This video explains the principles on how to use Desmos as well as the basics of understanding the wave equation. Using Desmos you can show superposition in real time, ie as a function of time.

This looks like great fun. No more using Excel spreadsheets for this goofing around, but using state of the art graphing calculator Desmos. I just discovered that Desmos was out there today, and right away thought of sine waves, square waves and so forth

Sir I you won’t believe I just finished this topic and this video gave me a lot of clarity
Thanks a lot

i have one more formula to add together now and not sure how to do it, 4cos (2pi 125 x 10^3t) + cos (2pi135 x 10^3t) + cos (2pi115 x 10^3t) on the last one i changed the t for x and it seemed to work, not sure how to do this one ?

i am completely new to desmos and graph software, i need to plot some cosines but im not sure how to get the formula into the software, 4cos(2pi 125x 10^3t) i assume the last part is the time scale, any advice, cant seem to get it to create the wav form
