I am just 700 ELO and this is the first time I actually followed up with a chess video explaining games and actually understood what to do. Thank you so much!

14:50 Because if you do capture the pawn you are only helping your opponent develope bishop.
When he chose where to put his white square bishop then you can capture to gain momentum and time (extra move)

The Minority Attack. It's a 200-year-old strategy and has nothing to do with law enforcement or anything like that. Hardest I've ever laughed at a chess video.

13:08 "no flamboyant rook sacrifices" that sounds like a direct shot at some other YouTuber 😂

The humor throughout this vid makes it my favorite chess video. Also, I love the Caro-Kann.

We need a video on the nimzo-zimbabwean now lol. Another good idea would be the accelerated dragon sicilian, imo best sicilian for beginners

The reason why you don't want to capture the pawn on c4 before he moves the bishop is that if you take it too early, white gains a tempo by developing his bishop while capturing the pawn. If he moves the bishop to let's say e2, if you capture the pawn on c4, he has to move the bishop a second time.

Hope this helped!

14:48 we should only take the pawn after the light square bishop moves, that way the light square bishop would have to move again to capture back our pawn hence wasting 2 moves for the same piece and losing tempo.

I have been a ~1400 rated player all my life. Well, some brains are simply unupgradable. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying Chess videos which break things down with a nice touch of humour. Loved it.

The pawn on C4 is not taken down right away as it would allow white to develop his bishop on a preferred spot in one move, so when the bishop moves and then the pawn is captured, it needs another move to occupy the position of desire, handing down the tempo to black
