Good job. I didn't have any idea about how the little key slide out of the FOB - like the sword Excalibar was pulled out of the stone by King Arthur. I was trying to pry the plastic body apart. Glad I decided to ask Google before I busted the FOB. Your video was very clear and quick,

Thanks!  The Owners Manual does not mention that you have to flip out the electronics board in order to access the battery.

A year ago I put brand new battery in a backup fob and just put away in drawer in case I ever needed it- today I needed it and it was drained. The battery dead just sitting in the fob smart key in a drawer. Is this possible ?

I would have liked to have seen the actual battery replacement illustrated - Without an illustration to follow, I found inserting the new battery to be a bit scary - considerable force has to be applied.

I call it Toyota Prius Five - not the letter V, but the Roman numeral as they have Prius II, III, IV and V - all Roman numerals. Battery is CR1632.
