Chinese diplomacy is based on friendship and corporation between two countries. China often show Chinese culture to the visiting dignitaries apart from talking business. Walking in the old royal parks to show the visitors the past history of China. There is no such diplomatic activities in the US. Also Chinese government occasionally throws a grand banquet to visiting leader with his wife. The US president once served McDonald hamburger to his guest, the PM of Japan..President Xi wife will take foreign visitor's wife for sight seeing of historical site and cultural activities. No such entertainment is offered in the US..

Hope that this is NOT just a moment of elation that will fade away as soon as Sergio Matarella leaves China. A solid action by Italy that it is sincere is to rejoin the Belt and Road initiative which Meloni destroyed.
