I can imagine graduating and standing next to Steven Spielberg but in a completely different way. When I was graduating from law school, he was given an honorary degree and he showed up and when he was waiting for it, he was standing with us law students. Literally within arms length. One of the cooler stories I can tell people

Peter Dinklage gave the commencement speech to Bennington College's Class of 2012.
In it he discusses the long time it took for him to get a significant part.
It's a worthwhile thing to watch.

Arnold making so much money on Twins is an interesting fact. I recall reading that Steve McQueen was offered a salary or points to make The Blob early in his career. If he'd have taken the points he would have made a ridiculous amount of money compared to the tiny paycheck he received, but you never know that going in, and he had to literally pay the rent. Of course he did alright in the end. ;)

I like that RDJ said he was Iron Man at the end, because Tony Stark never used a secret identity and the other Avengers as well as the rest of the MCU knew that Iron Man was Tony Stark.

The CG Empire State Building in Peter Jackson’s “King Kong” took longer and cost more to construct than the actual building.

In the whole Back to the Future trilogy, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson only appear on screen together twice and only say one line each to each other when they exchange greetings.

LOTR fact is not that shocking given the fact that the fellowship splits up.

I first saw Peter Dinklage in the short-lived but highly interesting sc-fi "Threshold" back in 2005, and even in that you could tell what an impressive actor he could be in a serious role.

The factoid about TWINS reminds me that Beethoven's favorite/most profitable composition was "Wellington's Victory, " which was actually a bit of software for an automationic orchestra. First, he had secured rights to the composition in the agreement with the inventor of the automaton; and second, his orchestration of same became a favorite for cities celebrating the end of the War of 1812. Who's heard "Wellington's Victory"? Money is funny!

I graduated from CSULB in 2002 with Spielberg. He was (obviously) walking with the film department. The film department walked right ahead of the theater department that I was in. It was really cool!

I'm now thinking of the Mike Myers "Lank Thompson: I'm a Handsome Man" SNL sketches.

Not just imagine standing next to Steven Spielberg but in the 2000s when he's already one of the greatest legends in Hollywood history when it comes to directors.

How do we not talk about Nick Cage making a film where he doesn't say a single word? Am I the only one who saw it?

Who ever thought Gosling wasn't handsome? OK, if those who thought that were on drugs, that would be a reason to not think so.
