Thermocouple Meter Review; Can a $25 thermocouple thermometer be any good?

This video shows the testing and review of a low cost thermocouple thermometer. Information is presented on the use of type J and type K thermocouples. A demonstration of a non-contact IR thermometer is also included.

Awesome video, I see many chemistry oriented channels using the infared thermometers and I wonder how much inaccuracy they’re getting. It can’t be that accurate considering it’s often a transparent liquid in a glass reaction vessel being measured.
