Yoder YS640 Turkey and The Briner Bucket

Today I fired up the Yoder YS640 Pellet Smoker and cooked a 13.5 pound turkey. I also used The Briner bucket to brine this turkey prior to the cook. I am extremely impressed with the functionality of the Briner. This kit contains a 22 quart and an 8 quart brining bucket that makes brining just about anything quite simple.

The Yoder YS640 performed extremely well as usual also. I cooked this turkey at around 275°F for about five hours to perfection....

I just picked up the Briner bucket myself after watching Chef Tom use it several times on All Things BBQ. Genius idea and can't wait to use it.

Well this weekend just got interesting.  I ordered the identical brining bucket and it arrives tomorrow.  Great video as always!  Gonna be my first whole turkey on the YS640.

I totally agree about not overcooking the turkey (or chicken for that matter). I like to take white meat up to around 155 before I pull it off. Makes a huge difference in the moisture. Great video, John. That bucket looks interesting.

Bought a couple 22 quart Briner buckets at Cabelas a week ago and can't wait to try them out. Going to smoke a bird and fry the other one. Nice video!

I used that bucke to dry the excess water off the meat . I lock the locking plate at the the 3 notch from the bottom then I set the meat on top of the locking plate then I put the lid back on it and then back in the refrigerator
