Safety Tip: If you are being followed, slow your pace and walk with your chin up so the stalker knows that you know. While you are e doing So, tuck the hood of your coat or sweatshirt into the rest of the coat or hoodie so they can’t grab y out by your hood. Also, take your hair out if you are wearing a ponytail or bun and tuck it into your clothes as you can’t be grabbed either. Then, walk to a place where there is a lot of people or turn around and confront the stalker which will catch them off guard

Yeah I have a “save my life” story, here goes. (Ik no one asked but I thought it would be useful to share)

So my bestie and I went to the shop kind of late at night, we needed some extra Christmas decorations and since we had a free night it was perfect. It was about 8:00 or like 8:30 at night and there were heaps of cars in the parking lot. We were walking out to the parking lot, when my bestie said she needed to grab something else, and I should wait at the entrance just inside the shopping centre. And I was like, “yeah, sure?” And I was just chilling on my phone, waiting for her, when something catches my eye. There were two figures in the corner of the parking lot, it was pretty dark so I kind of brushed it off. But when my bestie texted me saying that she needed to use the bathroom I was like, okay, she won’t be too long. But that’s when I started getting suspicious, the two dark figures were kind of, idk, making movements? I just had this gut feeling that something wasn’t right. I don’t know why I did this, but I decided to walk out to my car, which was a couple of cars away from theirs. (Bad Idea, Don’t ever walk to your car alone in the dark) So I got to my car, and I finally saw what the two figures looked like.

There was a man, who was closest to the car, and a woman. She man was kind of gripping the woman’s wrists, and I got a sketchy vibe. My heart was telling me to get the out of there. But my gut told me something was wrong. I made eye contact with the woman, and I gave her a big smile, when she game me a sort of smile, she looked very worried. So, I made up an act. I just looked at her like I recognised her from somewhere, and I walked closer, and I was like “Wait, no way!” And she got the picture and played along. (Turns out, her name was Veronica and she was really sweet btw!) The guy looked annoyed, but was trying to hide it. Until he said “What are you doing? That’s my girlfriend. Get your filthy hands off her.” That’s when I knew something wasn’t right. Then Veronica piped up: “Um, we are not together.” That when I said, “Hey, My friend is waiting inside, maybe we can get some ice-cream? I haven’t seen you in a long time!” She agreed, and the guy just grunted and called us names under his breath.

As we walked back, I held her shoulder, I new she felt threatened. When we got in the store, my bestie was back, and asked where I had gone and why this lady was with me. The Lady thanked me and told my friend that I had just saved her life. Apparently, the guy was trying to get her in his back seat, and asked her where she was going and if he could take her there. I am so glad I listened to my gut, I had no idea what would have happened otherwise! But me and my bestie drove her home, and stayed with her until her actual boyfriend came home. He thanked us and now Veronica and her boyfriend, My Bestie, and I are all really good friends!!
