Bengal Assembly Polls: Puja, Yatra & Slogan War Between BJP & TMC | India Today

The Election Commission of India announced schedule for assembly polls in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. As per the schedule, voting for the assembly elections to these four states and one Union Territory will be held between March 27 and April 29. Votes of all five assembly elections will be counted on May 2.
As per the poll schedule, assembly elections to Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry will be held in a single phase, while the assembly elections in West Bengal and Assam will be held in eight and three phases, respectively.
According to the latest update, Mamata Banerjee has questioned the Election Commission's decision to conduct the West Bengal Assembly Election in eight phases. She alleged that the decision was taken to suit the convenience of the BJP. BJP has countered allegations levelled by Mamata Banerjee.
