This is how I teach about Triads! Very effective and helpful for any guitarist. If you are one of my Guitar Wisdom subscribers, you already know these, but you can review them here again with very detailed points.

- 3 ways to learn Triads in Vertical & Horizontal & Same Inversions on each set of strings (654/432/432/321)
- Make sure you understand about dynamics in 3 points (Amp Volume & Guitar Volume & Pick Volume)

I seldom comment on YouTube videos but this one is a real game changer for me! Seeing all the triads both vertically and horizontally was the "lightbulb moment" I was looking for, thank you!

Thank you, Mr Fujita. With you, I am making one step back and 5 forward. I did not have a solid foundation. Now I know how to learn.

It is very important to understand the triads, and it is perfectly understood in the way that is explained by you Master Tomo. Thank you because I have made good progress.

What an amazing lesson! On the nose… 3+ years focused on CAGED, and Major scale shapes and patterns and finding triads and the linear major scale patterns now dominate my improvising.
Final note on another lesson that had DRAMATIC impact was the daily linear all finger exercise and 1/4/5 swing, each focused on accuracy and quiet transfers from notes.
So grateful for your lessons!
Thank you Tomo!!

I was working on scales and triads last night and I realized you can play the c major scale as full chords and I thought this might be useful for people who learned music on keyboards to understand how the guitar works

Around late 80's or early 90's I bought a strat pluses silver lace pick ups, it is the same colour as that guitar, though even today you can smell the paint like a strawberry, Good vid and advice. Pass onto my son who is learning as we all. 😊

Total beginner here. I was trying to figure it out on my own but was using 2 strings instead of 3. I get the triads now. Thank you so much!!

Very informative and useful. I’ve learned a new perspective of chord changing by knowing the intervals of the triad I’m on. If I’m changing to the 5th I know the root note is the so note of the triad I’m on. Or up 2 frets for the minor 6th or down 2 frets for the 4th, etc. A good way of mapping the fretboard by intervals. Thanks Tomo!

We had a teacher in highshcool that taught us solfege I am very thankful for her. Thank you Mrs. Jennifer Randall. 🙏 i had no idea what she was doing until now. She was a great one too. I will now always be thinking about solfege when playing guitar. Something I wasn't thinking about. And you are helping me connect that to guitar. Thank you.

You suggested I do this lesson basically. I did start when I was younger but I guess I stopped as it got harder. Thanks again for the encouragement. You're one of the few that actually responds. I'm very grateful.
