why gp-pointer almost alarm

There is three mode
Hold the big button for 3 sec
Can also vibrate

I have that same pointer I tried 2 batteries that did not work, but the 3rd one which was the cheapest completely stopped the beeping and worked like new

Because metal or gold must be near by.so it is giving signal

You got it wet inside. These are ip66 so not fully submersible. Just rain proof and the tip is able to be submerged
Anything passed that by the buttons and back and such will let water inside. Thats what happened.
