Pro tip, you can do the same thing with a wet towel. Wet the edges of the box, It will leave a watermark on the back of the drywall.

I actually put an octagonal box with cheap $2 plastic or porcelain fixture (used in basement/garage lighting) up over a door for a closet, was questioned, but it worked very nicely with a LED 8W (60watt equivalent) screw in bulb. Used a switch outside the closet to turn it on.
