Not turning and cycling drunk is hardly if ever enforced. Be more concerned about bike lights and making sure you dont have a phone in your hand.

Whilst you can't hold your phone, you can eat, drink and even hold a SLR camera up to your eyes and take photos.

These are very lose rules. Yes you can get a fine but i don't keep to any of them and nothing has happened to me until now. Just know where your going and what your doing and nothing will go wrong.

The netherlands are a highly densely populated country with alot of traffic. By an organized infrastructure and rules we try to keep the accident level as low as possible. If everybody cooperates a bit by obeying these rules dutch traffic is very safe

In the US drivers of cars rarely use lights at night, are almost always in the phone and/ or have earbuds or sometimes full headphones on, and tires need air? But don't get caught rolling a stop sign on a bike in the US or your neighbors will think you're the worst person and are putting people in danger!

Watch out putting your phone in your front pocket! (Especially if theyre shallow) It will definitely fall out!

Proffrsional dutchie here. All these rules are hardly enforced till the end of the year.
Police officers have a ticket quota so end of the year they start putting a lot of extra controls.
