Daicamping DL30, it destorys the Surge for price/value ratio. The tools are enormous, and the operation is silky smooth. I have done 99% of the DIY tasks with the DL30 in my new home. It's an invaluable tool for me for sure.
As a smaller option, the Daicamping DL7 is very close, it's basically a small sized DL30.
Both tools are EXTREMELY recommended based on my experience with them.

The surge is great and it has probably the best tool set of any Leatherman but my favorite is the rebar. It’s small cheap light and has everything that I need. plus it reminds me of the original tool that I bought in 95... and still have and use quite frequently

I just really love OTF multipliers. Ever since I used my first Gerber in the Army I’ve been hooked on them. I understand that it’s a completely different platform altogether but it’s always quick deployment, ease of use being designed for one handed operation, and they all come with MOLLE compatible sheaths so you can throw it right on your bag or front load carrier etc. Truly innovative design. I understand the carbide cutters aren’t what most tradesmen prefer, however they are perfect for soldiers, they cut through C-Wire like butter. Anyone who’s played with concertina wire will tell you that wrapping it up after it’s been deployed is a monumental pain in the ass, so having cutters made to cut that type of wire is a godsend to service members.

I will take my Bibury clone every day over a Surge for no other reason than the 3D bit driver. But honestly, for heavy duty jobs I tend to prefer my MP600 Blunt Nose. That's what I usually use. Different animal than Surge, but for me preferable for most heavy duty jobs.

Thank you for the great review. Lots of great tools and options. I am intrigued by the Gemini!

Gerber has two more the original center drive and the diesel multi tool. Both use the bit kit and will use the Leatherman bits and accessories as well.

I would love the large sog multitools alot more if they ditched the tool covers. For a company that kinda brags about marketing to emergency workers, where quick easy access to tools is a must, to add a useless & time adding layer to there tools is wierd

I just got the Arc, and it's the best multitool in existence.

Surge is the GOAT for me. I have a lot of multitools from other brands and Leatherman clones like the glorious Daicamping DL30. But if you can afford the price, the Surge's scissors are unique 🤌
