Anyone who knows anything about Trump’s tariff plan knows it means that they will be paying higher prices for a whole lot of products that they want, much more so than at the highest point of inflation cycle. Estimated cost is about $4, 000 per household per year. Tariffs are just a way to make the middle and lower income families pay more than they would otherwise pay in taxes. It’s basically the anti-progressive system. The progressive tax system was designed so that those who benefited the most from the American Capitalist economy would pay more than those who could least afford it and who don’t have access to all the benefits and infrastructure of our economy.
