I love how you Sasha the second hen back + forth. Your pride in these gorgeous birds is evidence that they are very nicely spoiled. So clean + relaxed. I have visited this site often to get a foretaste of the breeds that will be arriving May 4. I am so stoked to get these little darlings in my arms. I must pick up D. Earth soon to have ready when they arrive. How old must they be before they can handle a lite dusting if DE. to prevent mites from starting in on them?

Every time I rewatch this display of fine chickenry, I notice something else that I love about this short: this time it is the cute way she smacks her beak up+down like she has just enjoyed a lovely snack. I have Brahma envy right now- LOL. But seriously, you are blessed to have such a lovely hen there, young man. I am so thrilled to get a preview of what I can expect, + now the hardest thing will be to settle on the perfect name for each of my darling sweeties. I have to settle on 13 names for 5 different colored breeds. I may just wait +name them on personality. What are 3 good hen names for the 13 that I have coming May 4th? A. ) 3 Barred Rocks ? B.) 3 Black Australorps, C.) 3 Buff Orpingtons, D.) 2 light Brahmas, + E.) 2 Silver Wyandottes ? I'm not sure I have the names that will stick, but so far I like: A.) Freckles, Speckles +
Sprinkles B.) Pepper, Dreamy+ Nitey C.) Buffy, Fluffy + Goldie
D.) Princess+ Angela + E.) Fancy + Lacy . I may change their names if their personalities warrant it, but I didn't want to wait till I got them to come up with appropriate names to match their colors. Do I sound like I'm anxious to get them? I AM !

So pretty ! I'm excited to get 2 of these beauties on May 4, to go along with the other 5 different breeds I have ordered ( a Baker's dozen in all) . How do they do with Barred Rocks, Wyandotte, Black Australorps+ Buff Orpingtons? This was such a short video; can you make one that tells more about their temperament +how they get along with other breeds? Also, I'd like to hear if you can shave their legs so they don't get frostbite, which they may here in Maine.
I would have opted for their similar breed look alike, but heard Sussex can be much more tempermental. I am very concerned that I have sweet attitudes in my chickens, even toward each other. I don't want to have to separate any due to mean spirits. I'm hoping to get a rooster by their error of determining the sex of my hen chicks, but I wonder if all these breeds have gentile roosters ; could you address that question as well? I appreciate your advice based on experience +book knowledge as well. I don't have any chicken guide books, especially on breeds + their statistics. Could you recommend a couple of good books about health care + breed
information ( + how they get along). A complete guide would be nice. Thank you for sharing with this basically beginner hen owner.🐥🐔🐓
