Hitec Extra 300S Weekender P2GO Review - Part 1, Intro and Flight

Hitec's big introduction into the aircraft side of the business has been highly anticipated. You probably already use their servos since they dominate the market worldwide and we've benefited from using their rock-solid radio systems as well. Now with aircraft bearing the same name, we had to check out the products and put them to the test. Watch the videos and see what we found out about the new Weekender line of aircraft from Hitec!

Yes, the motor on our test model was a bit noisy and grew louder the more we flew it.  The bearings were the culprit so a quick replacement from Hitec fixed the problem.  Go easy YouTubers...there isn't a hobby manufacturer on the planet that's immune to occasional faulty parts from the factory.  The important thing is a quick and painless replacement which is exactly what we got from Hitec.  Now it's nice and quiet even after several dozen flights.

Nice... I've been dying for a review of this plane... Been wanting more from my Parkzone Extra 330. Not enough control surface or power.

Is their a slight dihedral in the main wing. Maybe the foam was just bending in flight.

Strange and abnormal sound coming from the motor's bearings not from the propeller ! I think only the 4S configuration is correct for such an aerobatic model. And it's the sole one recommended for the Europe market !

I guess using another prop fixes the sound problem in an instant.

The motor is really unsuited for this plane.  It will fail.  Not just be bearings.  I messed around with trying to make it dependable, replaced the ESC and to no avail.  Replace the motor with a higher quality motor and enjoy flying again.

Yes indeed, that thing sounded my old wore out flyzone acro wot motor still runs but sounds like grinding ice in a I wanted the hitec 300s until I heard how horrible it sounds in the
