Disney Celebrates Pride Month, BUT...

Disney's social media celebrated June, also known as Pride Month! Mickey Mouse and friends are here to accept everyone, but there's a bigger problem with all of this. Do their public actions really match the company behind the scenes?

Gravity Falls was known to have some cut content due to Disney's standards and practices department, especially in The Love God's deleted storyboards. Series creator Alex Hirsch has been public about this in the past, and once again brings the conversation further on Twitter. Can Disney become better?

This makes me even happier for the stand taken by Dana Terrace (Owl House creator) and accentuates the already-high respect I have for her. Most of you guys probably remember her tweet regarding the implementation that she wanted of Luz being bisexual, where she said “I’m bi. I want a bi character damn it.” What makes it even sweeter is how she is Alex’s girlfriend, and they both strived to represent LGBTQ throughout their respective shows, and I definitely appreciate them for doing so. It makes people feel more accepted in the world and I love that.
