Then they disappeared completely. This is the story of how one of their bitterest rivals - trojan horsed them out of existence.

Adidas buying it played a huge role. Swear thy intentionally tried to sink it. There’s no logical reason the Iverson sneaker line isn’t treated more like the Jordan line, Kobe etc.

I’ve always preferred how the NFL Reebok jerseys fit over the Nike NFL ones of today. The Reebok ones felt more comfortable to wear and didn’t feel so tight fitting and is much more comfortable to wear in the summer months compared to the Nike jerseys. Excellent video as usual! Wish you guys would talk about the rise and fall of Starter merchandise next! It’s crazy how they went from being one of the premier sports merchandise brands in the 90s to being relegated to Walmart in the 2000s. Kinda mirrors Reebok in some ways.

I worked at Adidas when we bought Reebok. We killed it. I wasn't involved, I was just a warehouse worker, but what we (Adidas) did was pretty well known internally. We bought it up and let it run out it's current contracts. Then the higher ups refused to renegotiate them, basicallysaying same deal as last time or nothing. Refused to budge on it. Nike and few other brands jumped in with much better deals and we let them have it. Refused to even attempt competing. Then refocused Reebok entirely around Crossfit and women's athletics gear so the main Adidas brand could be our focus for sports without competing against our own subsidiary.

I was up there in Reebok. What killed Reebok, was Paul Fireman selling the company to adidas. The dude was tired, and just wanted to stick to owning Willowbend golf course

I loved Reebok because it fit. I still try and buy it whenever I can find it and I am glad to see it making a small comeback thru Wal Mart. I did a short internship with the Tennessee Titans and they had to clear out everything Reebok when the NFL went to Nike so I went home with a trunk full of gear.

I remember Reebok was popular in the 2000s especially with the NFL, NBA and NHL while MLB had Russell and Majestic. But in the early-mid 2010s Nike took over NFL merchandise while Adidas took over NBA and NHL merchandise

Reebok supplies a major Brazilian soccer club, Botafogo, the current continental and national champion. However, it is sad to see the decline of this nostalgic brand that was so loved around the world.

That Reebok fitness era is one of the worst run ever, rebranding was dull and products were not exciting at all.
Crazy to think that they are still struggling a bit nowadays to find their place when you have such a rich heritage and identity.
Always been one of my favorite brand and really hope they regain their due spot in the shoe and fashion world !

I remember reebok dominated indian market in 2000s because designed the indian cricket jersey in 2000s and they also were huge due to their deal with Chennai Super Kings in the Indian premier league(IPL) and CSK were a huge and strong team with the indian captain MS Dhoni being the captain of the team and he was the brand ambassador for reebok in india.
Then 2010s rolled around and reebok disappeared quietly and no one care here.
Still reebok still is a name that stuck with me through nostalgia.
