The Last Yellow Watermelon - Time Lapse

Показать описание
This video captures the 20 day decomposition of a piece of yellow-fleshed watermelon, revealing the fascinating process of decay. Watch as mold spreads, flies lay eggs, and larvae take over transforming the fruit. The unique texture and high sugar content of the watermelon accelerate its breakdown, creating a dramatic time-lapse. By the end, you'll see how nature's foces reduce a vibrant slice into a decayed mess.

Fun fact: Yellow-fleshed watermelons are not genetically modified; their yellow color comes from a natural mutation that reduces the amount of lycopene, the compound that gives red watermelons their color.

I love the new text that you add to the video, it makes your channel feel unique compared to a lot of other Timelapse creators’ work, not to mention your great camera work or whatever you call it. Very nice. I would love to learn what kinds of molds and flies these are as well

"fighting off the fruit flies is still not easy"

you literally decompose fruit in your house of course fruit flies are gonna spawn like crazy

I lived on an Australian farm for 2 years. The trash bin was outside and there were flies inside the bin. Every now and then I would tip over the bin over an ants nest. The ants were happy about the larva.

1:18 Bro I would be dying of mold allergy right now so much respect. But seeing all the different types of mold was really cool and how it rotted. I love watermelon but have never tried yellow ones. I've never even seen one in the store before 😅
Awesome video like always can't wait to see the watermelon with the GoPro in it ❤

Can you do time-lapse videos with the subject inside acrylic vacuum box? This is will give you ageing results minus the elements transferred to the subjects from air.

I’d love to see a video where the full object disappears, might take a long time but would be interesting. Maybe with something small :)

I was surprised at the number of larvae that seemed to wander off and die on the far side of the plate.

What happened to the larva? They just keeled over and died or something?

Man has the patience of a virtue. Just saying as a whole for this whole channel.

In my opinion I think it tastes like half honeydew half red watermelon but it has the same texture as a regular watermelon

i loved the different types of mold!! its fun to see them fight for space, compared to 1 species hogging the whole fruit. plus i really liked the text commentary, ill always appreciate how u dont go "yuck look at this Disgusting nastiness!" but instead hold an appreciation for the mold and bugs and rotten smell! there is beauty in all things including ugliness

Fascinating. I've always loved stuff like this.

Also, I'd like to point out that your description has a typo. You wrote "nature's foces" instead of "nature's forces".

You should create a 30 seconds long video out of your video and post it to shorts reels etc. you deserve more views and it's the key for it.
