On Sunday 5th April 2015, Richard Straughan drove his Sentinel DG8 from its winter quarters across to Beamish Museum in County Durham. This video is the climb up from the winter quarters to the road. I had the pleasure of firing for this trip. The waggon is the unique Double Geared 8 Wheeled Sentinel Steam Waggon that was supplied originally to Tarmac.

That is absolutely awesome! I drive a truck today and how it was done back then... It must have required a lot of skill which i guess we have lost today.

Çok keyifli hissettiriyor olmalı ses hissiyat inanılmaz 2d ekran ve mikrofondan bile eğer emek verip bakım yapıp çalışıp kullanabilirsen dünyanın en iyi aracı masrafıdır da kesin parçaları yakıtı falan

Eventhough these were powered by steam, I am surprised that some of these had electric traction motors like you hear on an old streetcar.

Imagine driving this thing in Texas during summer, when the temperature is 38 deg C (100 deg F).

Was she struggling up the hill at some point? Seemed like it couldn't quite get the speed up, slowly trying to get faster?

Well I guess on the plus side every hill climb would be an epic hill climb??? Maybe?? I dont know. Every time I see one of these old sentinels going up any kind of grade it seems to be struggling. Kinda reminds me of hauling equipment with a volvo truck running a D11 and a 10 speed, that poor little truck would be working going down hill.
