Sounds like you have done your homework on the 55 a 210 turned into 150. I never seen the movie because its before my time, but I may have to check it out because I am a big car guy and car modeler. Here is what I got from IMCDb. The Movie car database. The 55 in Two-Lane had a big block 454 with aluminum heads, a tunnel ram intake and dual 4bbl Holley carbs. The transmission was a Munci M-22 "rockcrusher' feeding the power back to an Oldsmobile rear axle with 4.88-1 gears.

Ruth fitted the car with a straight axle and four wheel disc brakes. The tilt front end was fiberglass as were the doors and deck lid. Ruth also used plexiglass for the side windows that slid back to front instead of rolling up and down.

The scoop could easily be made out of thin aluminum sheet and would look the part!
I definitely look forward to your sanding and polishing tutorial, that is one thing I still struggle with but Ive only been building for a few years.

Hey Boyd! Took a break from modeling for a while and now that I'm back, I'm glad to see the show is still going strong! I won't be able to join the live show on Sundays since I have to be up around 3 AM EST for work on Monday, but I will be catching the replays now. I've been dragging my heels on doing the 350 refit, burned myself out on it out of frustration (since I started doing the Raytheon method, then saw the Tenacontrols lighting set you did and was mad at myself for all the effort I put into soldering all these bulbs together and not getting it quite right), and now I got a 2nd fresh kit of it so that I can start over from scratch. I'm going to do it right this time. Gonna airbrush the pearlescent colors (hope you still sell them), and install the Tenacontrols kits, and the 350 etched kit if they still sell/make them. Keep up the good work, Boyd!

Hi, Boyd. For your Blue Thunder pilot, couldn't you just use a seated civilian figure and swap out the head with one from a military pilot?
