After going to McDonalds thousands of times since a child, I just noticed the "yellow stripes, " inside the traditional red fry container! It also seems like with the yellow stripes, it helps to make it look like there are more fries in the box!

It's very important to keep in mind that, although McDonald's scored the highest in this particular case (and I don't doubt that they were indeed the best of these three) the variability you mention just makes them far too big a risk. Wendy's can now guarantee a 7.7, whereas McDonald's could be doing anything between maybe a 5.8 and 8.1. Sure, you might in some instances get better fries, but is the gamble worth it? Not really. I'd definitely say Wendy's is now the best option, especially for those of us who don't want our fast food experiences to feel like walking into a casino.

I like to imagine that Reviewbrah walking into fast food restaurants causes immense stress and panic amongst the staff, and that they attempt to bribe and please him with all of their might out of fear that an unfavorable review could ruin their livelihoods.

I'm worried that it's nearly impossible to get hot fresh fries from three places that remain hot and fresh long enough to do side by side comparison. In my experience they are really losing quality just 15 minutes after out of the fryer and are completely gross at 30 minutes.

Jack in the Box has some pretty solid fries, they taste heartier, fresher, and less likely to give you super-diabetes. People don’t really talk about Jack, and that was surprising until I found out they only serve 21 states and are only big in the West Coast. I always thought they were a national chain.
