Dogs tend to pick who needs protection more, that's why she looks at you first if you're gonna be okay. And also in that situation, "momma" is not on her vision so she went go first by curiousity (Also curiousity is one the of best traits of Golden Retrievers). I love Golden Retrievers ❤❤❤

I feed, walk, and taught my dog everything he knows to do, and what not to do, and how to avoid things he shouldn't do, all while pointing him in the right direction for the things he SHOULD do.
My wife is his favorite.
