The defendant should be really proud of his son. It's awesome seeing young kids act so mature and well-spoken.

love how the adopted kid dresses like this father and has the southern manners and accent... what a good kid.

For me this is one of the best episodes ever. This kid speaks clearly and only answers her direct questions and followup questions instead of blah blah it all out at once. This man did a great job raising a son like this. When judge Judy said: "I believe everything he says! " I felt that.

I love how the defendants son says “While it’s still registered in Dads name” ❤️

She’s not laughing now. This was perfect. There’s no way that kid made up that story. He’s very intelligent and did the right thing.

The stark contrast between how well the defendant raised his foster son... and how badly the plaintiff raised her son.

"I BELIEVE EVERYTHING HE SAYS!I BELIEVE EVERYTHING HE SAYS!" I felt that to the core of my being. Shoo...JJ giving me feels and chills. Watched this 5 times today. One of my faves forever.

He absolutely was raised right. He spoke respectfully. He did not speak out of turn or over the judge. Great job on his dad for how he was brought up.

The plaintiff’s mother is such an enabler. That typical attitude of “My child can do no wrong”, her obnoxious, condescending laugh, and even the way she sympathetically says “He was in jail” both times. That fake look of shock on her face as well when she does that passive aggressive laugh. Ugh!

She’s 100% correct. They were just lazy and never got the car in their name. Who goes back to the person months later and asks for things or blames them? That lady is a piece of work and I can only wonder what her son went to prison for. Fraud perhaps?

You can tell by the way the mother laughs that she is lying. When JJ said she believed the defendant, instead of gasping and being mad, she laughed which shows my point. I think they sold the car to the Adam guy and was trying to get more money off the defendant. They got caught and it backfired.

Well spoken, truthful and smart kid. His father should be so proud. Judge knew he was telling the truth

I love the way the mom is saying, "But-but-but he was in JAIL!" as if that's her golden ticket out of this mess. Lady, if he was in jail, that's a pretty good sign that he engages in illegal activity.

You can tell how close the dad and son are. Even though they are foster they are still his kids and you can tell they both see that.

I wish I had had a father like him.
What a decent, stand up guy.
His son is a testament to him as a father.
I wish them every happiness and success.
Cheers from Oz.

All they had to do was get the damn car registered. It takes one day to do that. Why wouldn’t the son want it in his name? I mean, unless he was arrested the day after he bought the vehicle, there’s no reason he couldn’t have done it. Then the mother tries to sell the unregistered car while her son is in prison? Their story is just weird.

Love the ending after JJ says “we are done”and the plaintiff walks around the table trying to approach JJ like he’s gonna do something 😂
