Brilliant shape. I'd buy it. The thing is, as I get older the idea of being able to climb into and out of a car becomes important and this shape is brilliant for it

I've been a Small Car Guy for all my life, and this car appeals greatly to me - even as a pickup truck (which I normally ignore).

Heck yeah I'd buy one (I'm in the US). As is or with whatever updates needed to get it into the US. It would make a great vehicle for around town (90+% of most people's driving).

The 1st Gen Scion XB was about the same size and was very popular in the states. Then came the Kia Soul and Niro ! It would sell very well for students and older Americans that don't drive much

SAIC owns the MG brand and they're proving to have a very popular line of relatively cheap EVs. This Yep, maybe LWB with 50% more battery, would sell well. Practical box, Kei car size, mainly urban so doesn't need to be streamlined for over 50mph efficiency, and has that Jimny/junior LR style that avoids it looking just like a van. It should be exported from China

Yes! 100% agree that this would be a Big Winner in Western and European Markets!

This would absolutely sell like hot cakes in US 🔥🔥🔥 but they will never do it as they can sell crap in US for $50, 000

An electric Jimny! Great! I was wanting a Jimny here in Canada! Making it electric even better! They should bring it in north america!

In a heartbeat, especially with the slightly longer wheelbase and the pickup box. This car could provide 90 percent of the transportation needs of the average American citizen. Not the "Look at me, aren't I Cool" crowd, but the basic single occupant commuter crowd. Yep, I want one.

I love it ❤
Thanks Electric Viking ❤👍🙏🏽⚡️⚡️❤️

If they can sell them into Aust I think something like that would be a hit as a family second car. Just what a lot of people might be looking for, a small BEV city/town fun car.

Interesting that the car Sam is talking about uses an ADAS system manufactured by a drone manufacturer - which are experts in camera, software and control technology. It's the convergence of these different fields that I find interesting. Cheap, high resolution cameras, lighter batteries, lightning fast computing power, robotics, and software / AI combined with vision perception systems, will enter our lives to create useful and safe vehicles, drones and robots. I just watched a video of a Rwandan blood company that uses drones to deliver blood to remote hospitals - much faster and more reliably than road transport - this tech is here, now - and making our lives better already !

Am from the UK and would definitely love to buy one. It’s retro appeal and box design makes it look really cool.

This is the ev we need, will sell millions everywhere. Whoever brings a car like this to market first has a winner, small and cheap.

I expect that the limitation will be passing safety requirements in some global markets, what I understand is becoming an issue with the Jimny in the UK, a car that is very popular here in NZ and has a long waiting list. Based on published dimensions, the Yep is actually 100 mm shorter but 40 mm wider than the Jimny with an identical height. But conceptually the Yep is great. If I took the considerable trouble to convert an ICE over to EV, it would be using the Jimny as a first choice, the last-gen 3-door Suzuki Grand Vitara as 2nd choice because it's short but wide enough not to have my shoulder sitting up against the driver's door.

NICE. Great car that we would buy when it is below €25k, have a decent 200mls range and comes available in the Netherlands.
We love smaller lightweight EV's that, due to less material, are better for the environment. Perfect size for the 1 and 2 person households.

This is a perfect city car. Short, compact, maneuverable, good visibility for the driver. This is what GM and other carmakers should concentrate on, instead of wasting time trying to beat Tesla in market segments where Tesla is a decade ahead.

GM should make it in USA/Mexico/Canada but add the safety features. Bring it to market at $20K USD, sell it only outside the dealers and it would make GM $$ and sell very well.

For sure ! I personally need 4x4 capability, and big knobby tires, buut otherwise the longer wheelbase, 4 door would be perfect.
