When i was a kid i grew up in a tiny town. So we didn't have much in the way of light pollution. We had a moon rise that seemed to take up half the horizon and one of our friends goes "omg, look where the sun is" (he wasn't real bright...)

But that was just how massive it looked from our vantage point

I hate crap like this. It’s clickbait media buzz. These rare “super moons” are at best 14% larger than your normal moon, and if you’ve ever looked at the moon you know it’s quite small. Adding 14% is literally not perceivable unless you had a second normal sized moon there for reference. It’s going to look exactly like any other moon in the sky. Look for more interesting astronomical phenomena than things relating to the moon.

And especially now in Florida. Don’t know what someone did on the naughty list to bring the rain but they done did it now. The fact that they can seed a cloud and basically feed it crack and self assembling nanoparticles for targeted direction still blows my mind. I haven’t even finished wrapping my brain around how far antigravity has come since mid ‘40’s. I wish it all didn’t get put in the hands of greed and nefarious purposes though. Could have been something people could have really appreciated instead of me hating it and questioning the type of person capable of destroying lives with a simple command.
