Great cards especially those beautiful 1971's with the bold black borders and the gloss.

U got some very nice cards there Huck. What I have found out over the years is if your card is in nice shape except for centering, u will get a 6 if it is off center either top to bottom or side to side. U will get a 5 if it is off center top to bottom as well as side to side. I hit the grade almost all the time using this method.

Huck, thanks for shouting out my channel, so kind of you! Huck love seeing some cards, that you don’t see often in returns! That Clemente card is 🔥

They are grading 1 grade lower on vintage that's why I'm done with PSA on vintage, sgc is my new go to for vintage

Great follow up video Huck. It's hard to top 3 consecutive years 71-73 as far as card design. Beautiful cards and great names to submit!

Whenever you see a 5 and have no idea why it got it, there is a very tiny surface wrinkle on the card that you typically have to search for. I think they take off way too much for a tiny wrinkle on the card, but it is what their grading rubric says. I have a bunch of 60's to 80's cards that are absolutely perfect except for a tiny wrinkle on the card. Unfortunately, that means they can't be graded. However, I will buy those PSA 5's all day long when people sell them for the price of grading!

130 some graders in the room as opposed to 15 or so in the past. Inconsistent is their new standard

Is it just me, or do a lot of the newly submitted PSA slabs are coming back crooked ?

I got back a 1961 Bob Gibson that was graded a PSA 4 that I thought was really misgraded so I cracked it out and resubmitted and it came back a PSA 6 so that shows you it is just someone's opinion and those opinions can be inconsistent. I do think vintage are being graded very hard.

Do you think with the new PSA grading standards that older graded 7 and 8 will be price comparable to newer graded 6’s? We ate know they are the same card?

When did you submit? Sorry if you mentioned it I missed it if so.

I wonder why some of the same year cards seem to be in a different holder and loose.

Great cards Huck. Big fan of your reveal videos. Love the Clemente in an 8. That might as well be a gem mint 8 because I'm pretty sure, a perfect pre 1980 card starts at 8, and they go down from there.
