Hi, I'm using a Yamaha fz1 and manual says cr9ek. I recently changed spark plugs to iridium cr8exi. The mechanic said it is ok to use 8 instead of 9 as the difference is negligible. Is this true?

I still don't understand the difference between NGK Laser Iridium and Iridium IX. Your website says the performance wise they both are same but laser one lasts long. However, Iridium IX has "Tapered" ground electrode while the more expensive Laser Iridium has "Standard" ground electrode. So, I'm not sure how you claim that they have the same performance. Please shed some light or correct me I'm wrong. Thanks.

My car's manual recommends using BKR5ES-11. I didn't find it in my town can I use BKR6ES-11 instead.

my 2 stroke dirtbike keeps fouling plugs fairly oftenly. i use a ngk br9eg. is it the plug thats doing this?

im using a NGK B6HS and ive got a nice light brown color. this is for a cheap chinese bicycle engine kit that uses 93 octane and the run of the mill 2-cycle oil.
it seems the 2-cycle engines dont like the hotter plug while using ethanol treatment mix. bad scaling on top of piston and dome. no scaling with a cooler plug and fine till it fouls :( now i know why soo many convert to 4-stroke cause theyre tired of more error than success! all depends on the engine and heat wicking i guess.
